This beautiful poetic translation of the Chorus of the Hebrew Slaves from the opera Nabucco, was developed by Kawiti Waetford, one of Opera North’s past youth singers, who has now become one of our mentors since returning to Te Tai Tokerau with his Masters in Advance Vocal Studies.
Now you can pay it forward
Opera North supports it's community choir by providing national training and performance opportunities at little or no cost! It has become the launch-pad for many Te Tai Tokerau singers who would otherwise not have had the opportunity to explore classical singing.
